Not sure how I forgot to blog about my 32 week appointment but I'll just blame it on pregnancy brain & the fact that I didn't have anything too exciting to share. Diabetes test came back normal & the belly measured right on.
Seventh Appointment- 32 weeks
Weight: 149 (only 1 pound from my ending weight with the other 3 kiddos!)
Today's visit was a little more eventful. I had to see the PA since my OB wasn't available & although I've seen her in the past, she tends to bother me a bit. Maybe it's because my OB is so laid back & quick...this PA takes her time & seems to be more by the book. I mentioned to her that I had found a tiny bump under my armpit a few weeks ago & wanted her to take a look. She then proceeds to call a nurse into the room who marks the bump with a giant blue X. I know that any type of bump or lump is to be taken seriously (which is why I asked her about it) but she insisted that I head downtown to get an ultrasound to rule out anything bad. Thankfully, they were able to get me an appointment just a few hours later. With my anxiety about health issues, I would have been a mess having to wait any longer. Long story short...everything is fine. They couldn't detect anything on the u/s & suggested that it was a lymph node or just the fact that I'm slim (ha!) & maybe pressing too hard?? Just supposed to keep an eye on things. Phew!
Back to the appointment. Our family is sick...again. Alyssa & Preston were both diagnosed with ear infections & Preston has possible asthma that is triggered when he gets a chest cold. Need antibiotics? Our house is a regular ol' pharmacy. Needless to say, I have had SERIOUS sinus issues, lack of taste/smell & a beautiful sounding cough for almost a week. The PA gave me some meds that will hopefully clear it all up. She also measured the belly & listened to the heartbeat. Lookin good! Next appointment is in 2 weeks & then I start going weekly!
Eighth Appointment- 34 weeks
Weight: 147 (lost a few due to no taste/smell)
