37 Week Appointment

Today was my 37 week appointment. Only 17 more days to go unless baby comes sooner! The plan is to be induced on the 10th but after she checked me out she said she wasn't sure if I'd even make it to 39 weeks. I was pretty undecided this time around whether or not I wanted to be induced but the whole idea of stepping outside my comfort zone played a big factor. Mackenzie was 4 days late which is why I ended up being induced the first time around. When Preston came along, I decided to just go ahead & ask if she'd induce me again since it went so well the first time. She agreed to inducing 1 week early (who doesn't want their baby to come out early?!) & then again with Alyssa...same as the other 2. SO, the big question was whether or not I should hold out & let my body do its thing or go ahead with another induction. The whole idea of going with the flow does sound exciting...as long as the baby decides to come out ON TIME. I'm NOT in the mood to end up overdue & giving birth to a 9 pounder which is what I fear will happen if I go with "au-natural". I'm sure there are many a women that want to hit me upside the head as they read this. Sorry to disappoint you. I secretly am hoping that I end up going into labor on my own before the 10th since I've heard that it really can happen & now my doctor seems to think so too! lol. Guess we'll just have to wait & see.
My appointment was great. The belly measures 37 weeks & the heartbeat was in the 140's. I'm still at 1.5cm but I'm 80% & minus 1 which apparently is a pretty big change from last week. Next appointment is on Tuesday!
