35 weeks! Let the countdown begin!

This past month has been pretty eventful. Some things baby related, some not. Most of it has revolved around being sick. It definitely feels like our family catches more bugs than other families but I tend to blame it partly on having 3 children which equals MORE GERMS. We've had the stomach flu twice, ear infections & a round of a pretty nasty cough. I usually end up catching all of it as well & it seems to take FOREVER for me to get over it. Last week I was given an antibiotic for a sinus infection that would NOT let up. This is a pretty common winter sickness for me. The insane ear pressure that I woke up with at 3am a few days later, is not. I can honestly say that I have never been in that much pain before. I told the nurse in the ER that I would rather give birth with no epidural than endure one more second of the fluid buildup/pressure that I was having. The numbing drops & some Tylenol took the pain down eventually but it lasted for days & I'm still having issues with my hearing & feeling dizzy. Praying that this clears up SOON!
So...back to the exciting topic. I'm 35 weeks! Woohoo! I'm feeling a slight bit of panic when I actually stop & count the number of days we have left until his/her arrival. For the most part, we're ready. There's only so many things that you can do to prepare when you don't know what the gender will be. The nursery is ready & looks so cute. I kept it neutral but picked out both boy/girl bedding so I know the colors will match! Basically the room will be used to change & rock since our babies sleep with us for at least the first 9 months. What do you think?!

LOVE how the wall art turned out above the crib but what a huge pain it was to get it up. Patience is NOT my strong suit when I have raging hormones.

Next week will be my 36 week appointment & I can't wait. This will be my first visit where she checks to see if things are moving along & I'm praying that I'm at least 1cm. After that it's weekly appointments! Can't wait to be done so we can meet this tiny bundle!

Here's my 35 week belly shot.

  2. Ummmm.....I don't think you can say that about an epidural-less childbirth without actual having one :)
Bummer about your ear infection, though. Hope it's cleared up!! Can't wait to meet your new son or daughter!!!!
