Day 19: Talents/Hobbies

I honestly don't feel like I'm very talented at anything. I suppose there are a few things that I'm fairly good at but I would never call them a talent. I grew up taking dance classes & now I am involved in a dance class through Mackenzie's dance studio. It comes naturally to me & I absolutely love it. Is it a talent? It's probably the closest I can come to being talented.

Now hobbies, I have quite a few of those! I enjoy sewing...although I'm new to it & haven't made much, scrapbooking...even if I'm a few years behind, decorating, baking & shopping.

***A little something extra from the Day 16 post! Can't believe I forgot this one!***

By far, the craziest thing I have ever done was in college. I met a guy on the internet (don't even really remember how) & we ended up chatting for at least 2 years. He was a super nice Christian guy, a few years older than myself...we had a great friendship. So around my junior year, my parents let me fly to Maryland to meet him! He picked me up at the airport & we stayed at his place near the ocean (his brother lived with him too). We attended his cousins wedding & I met his entire family, went swimming, did the Boardwalk thing & hung out. It was SO crazy but I had such a great time. Nothing ever came of the relationship (we lived across the country from one another) & we are both now happily married.
I just still can't believe my parents actually let me go meet him! So nuts.

  1. I think a lot of times as we get older it's harder to find our talents because we are so busy being moms. :/
I met my husband online... lol
