Let the Birthday Parties Begin!

Spring is almost here! Actual sunshine has been in the sky the past few days & slightly warmer temps (we're talkin' 32 degrees...nothing tropical) BUT the snow is S.L.O.W.L.Y starting to melt away. I'm so excited about it that I want to be one of those crazy people you see outside Target wearing shorts & flip flops...but I'll restrain myself & settle for my super cute green trench coat that I bought last spring. Wahoo!

Along with my spring fever comes birthday planning. Ours just happen to fall in April(x2), May, June & August. How's that for family planning?! lol. Chris always likes his to be low key so we usually just have cake & go out for dinner. Same thing goes for mine except that this year is my 30th! AND it's my golden birthday so I've dropped a few "i really want a party" hints & I'm hoping he catches on.

I recently started planning Alyssa's 2nd birthday. I'm not a huge fan of the cartoon character/tv show birthday themes & I don't want to do the same things that I have done for Mackenzie's last 6 parties so...I finally came up with the perfect theme! A monkey! Check out the stuff I found!

I've also found the perfect invitation as well as a few other decor items but you'll just have to wait until the party to see those!

Mackenzie's our May baby & as of now she's requesting a "puppy party". Not exactly sure what that entails but we did find some super cute puppy stuff at Party City. One thing I know for sure is that she will NOT be receiving a puppy as a gift. ha.

Preston's party isn't until June so we have a few more months to come up with something but you definitely can't plan a birthday around a 3 1/2 year old without a little input. As of now he's back & forth between Go Diego & Batman. Not my favorite but he's just so stinkin' cute that I'll cave...eventually.

So, that's all I've got for tonight. I've had a horrible head cold for the past few days & should have been sleeping hours ago. Oops.

What party plans are in your future?!

  1. Hey there!! Well Isaac's party is on his "actual" bithday and he requested a "Mario" party. So we are having a "gaming" party. Mario Wii games, board games and BeyBlade tournaments. Olivia has changed her mind a few times it is either Ladybugs or Barbie as of now. When they get this old they are set in their ways of what "theme" they want, so even if I try to sway them another way they have their own thoughts!! Happy planning!

  2. We're planning a fish theme... I think! I keep debating between fish or owls. :) Hope Chris throws you a party this year!! I loved all of the parties that we had together over the years!

  3. Aww we would TOTALLY be BFFs!! And our kiddos would, too! And Alyssa and Kam could get married. :)

I LOVE the monkey theme!! Absolutely ADORABLE!!! I cannot believe that our littlest ones are going to be 2 already!

  4. That is a great jacket!

We have April, May, June (2 of them ) and July birthdays, too...thought that was a good idea at the time. Haha.

Ben's is first - Hot Wheels. He's been planning it since about 1 month after his LAST birthday.

Leah's is May - fairies. DISNEY fairies, unfortunately. But it makes for easy shopping!

Adam in June - I have done Elmo for both Ben and Leah's 2nd birthdays, but may expand this one to Sesame Street. Adam loves Cookie Monster!

Gonna have to revisit this topic on MY blog...:)
