Mackenzie's First Piano Recital

Two weeks ago was Mackenzie's first piano recital. Having taken piano lessons when I was younger, I couldn't wait for her to start. We tossed around the idea of having her start last year but figured starting Kindergarten was a big enough change to her daily routine & held off for a year. She began lessons in September & is almost through her first book! It's so much fun to hear her progress & her piano teacher says she'll be playing beautiful music in no time! So, back to the recital. Grandma, Nanny, Pappy, Daddy, Mommy, Preston & Alyssa were all there to listen to her musical debut. She played Jolly Old St. Nichols & Twinkle, Twinkle...no mistakes! She was supposed to be the first to play but we ended up being late because we couldn't find the building. We don't live in a giant metropolis people...seriously embarrassing. Her piano teacher is a total sweetheart & snuck her into the middle of the show. Mackenzie wasn't phased one bit. So proud of her!

  2. How fun. It would have been fun to watch and listen to her. Olivia is SO interested in the piano, we have tossed around the idea of buying a piano and getting her started. I took piano lessons as well and think she would have a blast. Did you take video? Would be fun to see sometime. Love ya
