Our house has been BUSY the past few weeks & by busy, I mean, busy puking. Alyssa & Preston both ended up with the stomach flu that lasted 2 weeks...1 week per kid. It was not pretty & did I mention that our washing machine decided to stop working just days before the puking started?! Alyssa ended up in the hospital for dehydration & Preston just squeezed by (due to being older & having more reserve). Add to this the fact that it was Christmas & my brother & sister, along with spouses & children, were all here to visit. I was mega bummed out. I'm still thanking God that he kept the rest of us healthy because I could not take another week of sickness in this house. Spring can't get here fast enough!
Rather than bore you with all the details of the past few weeks, here's a little brief overview.
Preston had his Christmas program for preschool. He looked like a little stud in his suit & tie & sang his little heart out. Melted my heart.
Mackenzie had her Christmas program also. It was an optional event but of course we weren't going to miss it! She sang beautifully, as always.
Just days after Alyssa was out of the hospital, Mackenzie had her dance recital. We made it to rehearsal & on the night of the performance, Preston got sick. Chris had to stay home with the little ones but Grandma, Nanny & Pappy were able to watch her & she was awesome.
Christmas was a whirlwind & not so wonderful. I won't get into it but let's just say that Chris & I have decided that next year we're celebrating Christmas somewhere warm & far away from ND.
This looks like a good option...
Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a very Happy New Year! :)

I am so glad you, Chris and Mackenzie have remained healthy. . .Praise the Lord for that. I am also glad that Alyssa and Preston are feeling better and pray that they regain their strength quickly. Preston looks so adorable at his program and I would love to see Mackenzie dance sometime. . .that would be fun. I have 3 nieces in dance and it would be wonderful to see them. Miss you lots.
