Eating...Such Fun!

I have never been one to start my babies on cereal too early. I'm a strict breastfeeding mommy until at least 6 months of age at which time I decide to allow something 'foreign' to touch my babies lips. Mackenzie didn't get her first bite of cereal until 7 months but I realized with Preston that I was a bit too paranoid with Kenzie & started him at 6 months. Alyssa is a great baby but has some serious sleeping issues. Because I'm nursing, I am the one to wake with her...multiple times a night. I finally caved in & decided that maybe some cereal would do her some good. Fill her tummy up before bed. Praying that it would work. I started her just 2 weeks shy of 6 months...lucky girl. She loved it! We have since started sweet potatoes & she loves those too. Still not sleeping. I'm desperate here people...any suggestions?!

Daddy got to give her the sweet potatoes :)

  1. We are so in your boat, Stacie! Kamden is still waking up a ton of times each night...I can't say how many exactly because in order to function at school the next day I just get him out of his Pack n Play, put him in bed with us, let him latch, and I go back to sleep. I wanted to co-sleep until 6 months, and he turned 6 months today, so we're trying him in his own room tonight. Our pediatrician said that it should definitely help with his nightwaking because when he's in the same room as us, just smelling me can be enough to rouse him from his sleep and make him think he needs to eat. I'll let you know if it helps with his sleeping...so far he's been down for 2 hours with no incidences.
