Mackenzie's a First Grader!

Where did the summer go?! It seems like yesterday was Mackenzie's last day of Kindergarten & here we are...another school year is upon us. She went to bed last night complaining of a tummy ache & I was hoping it was just nerves so she wouldn't have to miss her first day. Thankfully, that was the case. We woke her bright & early, showered, ate waffles & got her dressed in her A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E outfit.

Being the first day, we obviously had to make it into quite the ordeal, so we packed everyone up & drove her to school. I walked her in which gave me an opportunity to take even more pictures & I spent a few minutes with her at her desk while she started her dot to dot & took in her new surroundings & all the new faces. I'll admit that the drop off wasn't quite as heart wrenching as her first day of Kindergarten but she's only been gone for an hour & I already miss her like crazy! Praying for our sweet little first grader today & hoping she has a terrific day!
